FAQ

What do I need to prepare to travel to Israel?

You’ll need:

  • A valid passport
  • An Israeli ETA (electronic travel authorization), which can be completed online here: Apply for ETA-IL

The application takes about 10 minutes, and approval is typically instant (or within up to 72 hours). The cost is 25 NIS (under $8 USD) - if you see a higher fee, you may be on the wrong website.

Will transportation be provided during the weekend?

Yes! We’ve arranged transportation for the key events so you can relax and enjoy the celebrations:

  • Thursday night: Transportation will be provided from the Hilton Tel Aviv to the Henna party and back.
  • Wedding day: Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding venue (more details below).
  • Shabbat: All Shabbat events will take place at the hotel or within close walking distance.

What is the plan for Sunday (the wedding day)?

The wedding will take place in one of the most extraordinary locations in Israel, approximately 1.5–2 hours from Tel Aviv depending on traffic. Guests can choose between two options:

Option 1: Stay in Tel Aviv on Sunday night

Buses will depart from The Hilton Tel Aviv at approximately 3:00 PM to the wedding venue, with timing to be confirmed closer to the wedding weekend.
Return buses to Tel Aviv will run every 30 minutes throughout the night.

Option 2: Stay near the wedding venue (Dead Sea area)

We have rooms reserved at two sister hotels near the Dead Sea, located about 20–30 minutes from the wedding venue.

Transportation will depart from The Hilton Tel Aviv between 12:00PM - 12:30 PM to the Dead Sea hotels, with timing to be confirmed closer to the wedding weekend.

Additional transportation will take guests from the hotels to the wedding venue later that afternoon.

Buses will return guests from the Dead Sea area back to Tel Aviv late Monday morning (exact timing to follow).

If I’m staying at the Dead Sea, should I get ready there?

If you plan to use a hairdresser or makeup artist, we recommend arranging those services in Tel Aviv, as options near the Dead Sea are limited.

Hotel rooms at the Dead Sea will be available from approximately 3:00 PM, with a possibility of early check-in. This should allow about two hours to get ready before departing for the wedding. If you prefer to stay longer at the Dead Sea, Abby is happy to assist with booking your own transportation (abby@collettstravel.co.uk or +44 7808 148451).

What should I wear to the wedding?

The wedding is black tie, and we’re so excited for an elegant evening under the desert sky. Although the setting is outdoors, the venue will have full flooring throughout, so feel free to wear whatever shoes make you feel your best.

What will the weather be like during the weekend?

In Tel Aviv and surrounding areas:

May in Israel is warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures often ranging roughly from the mid-70s to mid-80s (24-30 °C) and mild evenings around the 60s °F (16-20 °C).

Near the wedding venue:

This region is slightly hotter and more arid than Tel Aviv, with nighttime temps often in the low-70s °F (around 22-24 °C) and hotter temperatures during the day.
